The Caribbean all-rounder is arguably the best T20 all-rounder in the world. He is an asset to any T20 team, and he has yet again proved his worth to the Kolkata Knight Riders.
The big man has played some stunning knocks with the bat. In KKR’s 2nd clash against Chennai Super Kings, Russell smashed a breathtaking 88 off 36 deliveries which included four and 11 sixes.
Even in the eliminator against Rajasthan, his knock of 49 off 25 deliveries propelled KKR to a competitive total of 169 in their allotted 20 overs. He has scored 313 runs in the season so far at an average of 31 and an exceptional strike rate of 190.85. He has smashed 31 sixes in the competition so far and holds the highest strike rate for batsmen who have scored at least over 200 runs.
Russell has also been quite impressive with the ball. He has bagged 13 wickets so far and will look to add a few more to his tally today against Hyderabad.
