Sunil Narine
He has been quite a revelation as a batsman for the Kolkata Knight Riders. With adding one more dimension to his game, Narine is arguably the most valuable player this season.
The southpaw has been quite sensational at the top of the order and has scored 331 runs at an exceptional strike rate of 190. He has smashed the bowlers from ball one, and most occasions have come out on top.
He scored the 2nd fastest fifty in IPL 2018 when he hit 17 balls fifty against the Royal Challengers Bangalore early on in the tournament.
Being a wily spinner, Narine has been quite superb. He has bowled in the powerplay and also in the death overs. KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik has turned to him in crunch situations, and Narine hasn’t disappointed on most occasions.
He will play a very important role in Friday’s must-win clash against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Narine will be Kolkata’s trump card if they harbour hopes of winning their 3rd IPL title.
