Ambati Rayudu-Chennai Super Kings
Rayudu was bought for a big sum of Rs 2.2 crores by the Chennai Super Kings which is way more than his base price.
However, the form he has looked in this year, there are every possibility that Rayudu will generate much higher price in the next auction in case Chennai doesn’t retain him. He has been quite superb in the tournament so far. The fluent stroke-maker has taken up the responsibility of opening with both hands and has got his franchise off to brisk starts on many occasions.
He has one of the most consistent batsmen in the season so far and has scored all over the wicket. On occasions, he has made the opposition bowling line-up look utterly clueless.
Rayudu is among the top-five run-getters in IPL 2018, and he is likely to remain at the top only. If he goes on to perform the same way, many franchises would be keeping a keen eye on him in next auction.
