Inconsistency with the bat
Pant is currently the leading run-scorer in the tournament so far. However, he has fallen to horrendous shots on occasions.
When he gets going, the southpaw tends to take the game away from any opposition. However, when the pitch is on the slower side, and he needs to set his innings up, Pant is not always the perfect choice.
He tends to play cross batted heaves on turning tracks which have resulted in his dismissals quite a few times. Even in the domestic circuit, Pant hasn’t been consistent enough with the bat.
