The auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the past seasons belonged to one man named Ben Stokes.
In the last couple of seasons, it was the Englishman who topped the charts for being the most expensive buy in the tournament.
When asked about his favourite city in India, by the second most expensive player from the recent auctions, Jaydev Unadkat, Stokes named the Pink City, Jaipur, as his favourite.
Stokes went to Rising Pune Supergiant for a record sum of INR 16.5 crores. This time around, the best all rounder in the world went for an exorbitant amount of INR 14.5 crores to the Rajasthan Royals.

The Royals are making a comeback along with Chennai Super Kings after a two-year long hiatus. Additionally, a prominent international action also is coming back to Jaipur after four long years due to a dispute in Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA).
In the short interview conducted by Espncricinfo, with the two most expensive players this auction, Stokes claimed his favourite city as Jaipur, as it was the Royals who picked him up this season.

Prior to the start of the tournament, his colleague, Jos Buttler warned to be wary of Stokes this season. Buttler suggested Ben Stokes has fit in comfortably after a torrid time personally.
“Ben will be absolutely fine and more than ready for the IPL. He is already back for England in New Zealand and is quite comfortable,” Jos Buttler said earlier.

“He is a huge part of England. It’s great to have him back on the English side as he is one of the best players in the world. I am expecting some big things from him this time,” concluded the Royals’ star.
