Deepak Chahar was one of the best swing bowlers in the powerplay. He was quite brilliant and lived up to the faith shown in him by Dhoni.
Chahar swung the ball both ways and made life pretty difficult for several top order batsmen. The highest run scorer of the tournament, Kane Williamson was troubled on a consistent basis by Chahar in one of the group games.

Promising paceman Chahar missed out on a few games due to his injury. However, he returned with a bang and finished the tournament with 10 wickets in 12 matches. He maintained an impressive economy rate of 7.28.
Chahar also proved his skills with the bat in a couple of matches.
