Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh is likely to miss the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) opening ceremony. Meanwhile, he was likely to perform alongside other Bollywood celebrities.

The cash-rich league will enter into a new decade within a week’s time. The buzz around this league has started setting in among the fans.

Meanwhile, the defending champions, Mumbai India will face comeback team Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener at the Wankhede stadium on April 7th.

However, before the season opener, there will be an opening ceremony. An array of Bollywood celebrities are likely to set the stage on fire.

One of the most popular actors in the current scene, Ranveer Singh reportedly charged a whopping five crores for his time on stage. However, as it turns out, the Padmavat actor might have to give the event a miss.

As reported in Insidesport, the actor sustained a shoulder injury during a football match owing to which he might miss out on the performance. Ranveer’s spokesperson informed the media about this update.

Ranveer Singh has injured his shoulder during a football match and has been advised not to overstrain it for at least one month. Ranveer is, however, not taking any breaks and will continue shooting for Gully Boy as per schedule,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Ranveer is likely to consult a doctor before taking the final call.

Ranveer is in consultation with the doctors who will advise him, in a day or two, on whether he would able to perform at this year’s IPL opening ceremony in which he is doing the finale act,” the source added.

Apart from Ranveer, Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Parineeti Chopra will also take the stage on April 7.
