ToggleThe 11th edition of the Indian Premier League couldn’t have started on a better note.
Chennai Super Kings made an emphatic comeback and recorded a thrilling victory. It went down to the wire, as Dwayne Bravo’s match-winning 30-ball 68 decided the fate of the game.
Mumbai Indians had the game in their hands till the 17th over of the second innings. With 47 to win from 18 balls, a CSK victory looked very unlikely. But the T20 format lived up to its expectation, and the crowd witnessed a dramatic finish.

Bravo wins it big
The world took notice, and Bravo was the talk of the internet. England cricketer Danielle Wyatt was impressed with the Windies all-rounder’s show.
Wyatt, who had two centuries in the shortest format of the game, applauded Bravo’s show.
Her tweet read –
“DJ BRAVO, what a champion! Great start to the IPL What a tournament”.
Wyatt is a keen follower of men’s cricket, and she had earlier complimented Indian skipper Virat Kohli also.
On being the man of the match, Bravo dedicated the award to the fans of CSK.
“It was a great victory, and we dedicate it to the CSK fans. CSK showed a lot of faith is me. I came in early, and I gave myself my best opportunity to bat. It gave me time to get myself set. It is a small outfield and I back my skills and I am just happy with my effort tonight.” he said.
Markande ends up on the losing side
Mumbai’s spinner Mayank Markande’s efforts went in vain. Mayank scalped three vital wickets. He almost turned the game in Mumbai’s favour until the cracker went off.
The Pandya brothers were impressive too. Krunal made a gutsy unbeaten 438 while Hardik picked three wickets. Bravo went wicketless with the ball in hand but did well to keep the run rate under check. He conceded just 25 runs in his four overs before smacking seven sixes and three fours.
