Ben Stokes:IPL 2018: Five Players Who Failed to Live Up to Their Price Tag 1

The English all-rounder Ben Stokes had a pretty ordinary season with both bat and the ball. Just like the previous season, Stokes garnered the highest bid in the auctions. He was bought by the Rajasthan Royals (RR) for a whopping INR 12.50 crore. He happened to be the costliest player in the auction.

However, Stokes failed to live up to the price tag and was quite ordinary with both bat and the ball.

In the middle order, he failed to provide the much-needed impetus. Rajasthan should have remembered this fact that Stokes was short of match practice and it was evident from his performances in the tournament.

In 13 matches he scored only 196 runs at a below-par average of 16. Stokes was quite ordinary with the ball too bagging only eight wickets in 13 encounters.
