The campaign of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Vivo Indian Premier League’s (IPL) season eleven has come to an end following their defeat against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their final group game.
The Bangalore-based outfit started off pretty poorly in the tournament which resulted in their eventual ouster from the tournament. Though they gave themselves a chance with three victories out of the last four matches, however, it didn’t prove to be enough in the end.
Over the years, they have always had a solid team. But, they haven’t been able to produce the magnificent performances on a consistent basis.
Hence, they are one of those teams who are yet to win an IPL despite having a star-studded line-up.
After a poor show which hampered them to make it to the playoffs, the team management might decide to drop a few players in the twelfth edition of the IPL.
Here are five big players who are expected to be released by RCB:
Sarfaraz Khan:

Sarfaraz Ahmed might not be a big name in the cricketing circuit yet, but the heavily built young man has some exceptional capabilities which proved as the sole reason behind RCB’s decision to retain him ahead of the IPL’s mega-auction.
However, the youngster failed to deliver in the limited opportunities he got in the tournament so far.
In seven matches he played in this edition, Sarfaraz scored only 51 runs at a below-par average of 10.
It was only against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) that Sarfaraz played a quickfire cameo which proved to be decisive in the end.
Coming late in the order, the promising prospect struck an unbeaten 22 of just eight deliveries. However, it is quite certain that Bangalore will release him, next year.
