The veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh recently revealed the name of his favourite cricket stadium in India.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) fever has just started to grip in, and the fans are turning out in huge numbers to support the home team.
While fans at Chinnaswamy and MA Chidambaram are loyal to their home team, the fans at Eden Gardens are known to appreciate quality cricket.
Moreover, Eden hosted its first IPL game yesterday (April 8th) when Kolkata Knight Riders faced Royal Challengers Bangalore. It was a Sunday 8 pm game, and fans turned out in huge numbers.
The home team KKR didn’t disappoint, as they beat RCB to start the tournament on a high.
Batting first, Bangalore posted 176 runs on the board. However, their skipper Virat Kohli was not at his best, as he couldn’t get his timing right.
In reply, Sunil Narin gave Kolkata a blistering start with a 19-ball 50. There was no looking back from then, as Dinesh Karthik guided them home.
During the match, Sourav Ganguly tweeted a photo of full packed Eden Gardens stating it happens in every game. Meanwhile, Ganguly is hometown boy and is currently the President of CAB.
However, Harbhajan, who is a close friend of Ganguly retweeted the post stating it as his favourite stadium.

“My fav
#Edengarden,” Harbhajan tweeted.
The off-spinner has sweet memories of this ground. The off-spinner had picked his first Test hat-trick against Australia in 2001 here. He also led India to many victories on this historic ground.
However, Harbhajan, who is representing Chennai Super Kings in this IPL also had a good start. Although, he will like to improve his individual performance in the next fixture.
