Rajasthan Royals (RR) star wicket-keeper batsman, Jos Buttler has left a heartfelt message, as he flies back to England to prepare for the upcoming Test series against Pakistan, starting May 24th.
Meanwhile, Buttler single-handedly brought Rajasthan to track after a disappointing start. He shifted gears when he went to open the innings against Delhi Daredevils on May 2.
Buttler registered his first fifty of the season and followed it up with four back to back half-centuries. Buttler’s scores read 67, 51, 82, 95*, and 94*, as Rajasthan came back into the fray of playoffs.
However, he didn’t have a great end, as his team lost to Kolkata Knight Riders on Tuesday night despite providing a good start. Buttler scored 39 runs in his last innings in India against the Knight Riders.
The Royals, meanwhile, only have one game left and is currently on 12 points. They have to win the last league match and look at others for sealing a spot in the playoffs.
Buttler thanks everyone at Royals
Before his return, the Englishmen wrote a heartfelt message for everyone involved with the Rajasthan. Buttler also revealed he made amazing memories in this few weeks in India.
“A massive thank you to everyone involved in the very special @rajasthanroyals set up! What an amazing few weeks in India with some fantastic memories made on and off the pitch. Such a great changing room to be a part of an incredible family feel the franchise have developed. Have loved my time with everyone,” Buttler wrote on Instagram.
Moreover, he also sounded confident about his team’s chances of qualifying for the playoffs and admitted he would be watching.
“I will be watching on Saturday as we make it through to the play offs!!” he added.
