The two-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders are one of the heavyweights in the competition over the years.
They had constantly featured in the knockouts and playoffs as they garnered massive fan base.
However, the management have decided to build a new squad all together this time and they already announced Indian batsman Dinesh Karthik as their skipper for the upcoming season.

The mysterious spinner had upgraded himself into a devastating batsman in IPL last season. He managed to score the fastest fifty in IPL history and would once again look to repeat his heroics this year.
The Aussie was the talking point last season when he bashed bowlers all around the park mercilessly. He will once again join hands with Narine at the top to create havoc in powerplay overs.
The veteran Indian cricketer has been a vital cog in KKR set up over the years. He will once again need to play a very crucial role in the middle order to ensure KKR makes progress to playoffs.

Karthik has been in the form of his life and had recently demonstrated in that famous final against Bangladesh. He will also test his luck out in captaincy for the first time in IPL and will have a major role this season.
The youngster was one of the finds last season and Kolkata were all out to sign him in the auction. He had a wonderful season with Mumbai last year and will look to replicate his performances this season once again.
The young U-19 Indian cricketer is definitely the one for the future. This season’s IPL will provide him the perfect platform to showcase his skills to both selectors and fans.
The forgotten Windies all rounder will be back in IPL to grace KKR colors once again this season. He missed last year due to ban that was imposed on him and KKR will be glad to welcome him back.
The youngster made a name for himself with Indian cricket team as his subtle variations and attacking lengths had yielded him plenty of wickets. He will be one of the key players in KKR set up this season.
Chawla is a seasoned campaigner in IPL and has been in the Kolkata team for a very long time now. He will once again be key in the spin attack alongside Narine and Kuldeep.
The Aussie quick had been a sensational bowler over the seasons in IPL. With Starc getting injured, the veteran bowler has plenty to offer in a questionable pace attack.
The youngster had plenty of raw pace when we saw him in Under 19 world cup. But IPL is on a different level and will definitely test his skills against the best.
