IPL 2018: Match 10, KKR vs SRH – Sunrisers Hyderabad Players Rating

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) continued their winning run going, as they beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by five wickets at the Eden Gardens.

Though rains affected the game, the fans got to see full 40 overs of actions.

Batting first, the Knight Riders posted 138 runs banking on Chris Lynn (49) and Dinesh Karthik (29). Lynn showed some hint of form, as he struck the ball hard, as wickets kept falling at the other end.

Meanwhile, it was skipper Karthik who ensured the bowlers would a challenging total to bowl at.

However, Wriddhiman Saha spoiled the party for the hosts, as he provided the visitors with a blistering start. Although they lost few wickets to put themselves under pressure, skipper Kane Williamson (50) and Shakib Al Hasan (27) put them closer to the target.

Yusuf Pathan did the final job playing a seven-ball 17 runs knock, as Hyderabad kept their winning runs intact.

Here is the players rating of the Sunrisers:

Wriddhiman Saha (wk): (7.5/10)

The pocket-sized dynamo provided Hyderabad with a blistering start with 15 balls 24 runs knock.

It set the tone for the visitors, as Saha’s knock laid the platform for the middle-order.

Shikhar Dhawan: (3/10)

It was a bad day for Dhawan, as he failed to score runs in this game. He is a consistent run-scorer for the Hyderabad side. Dhawan will look to hit back to form in SRH’s next game.

Kane Williamson (c): (8.5/10)

Williamson is leading the team from the front. He has so far contributed with the bat in all the games.

Today he played a responsible knock of 50 runs in challenging condition to take the team closer.

Manish Pandey: (2/10)

Pandey’s bad patch with the bat continues, as he failed to contribute to the team’s cause. He needs to hit the form if he has to retain a place in the first XI.

Shakib Al Hasan: (9/10)

Shakib had an outstanding game with both bat and ball. He returned with two for 21 runs before scoring useful 27 runs. Shakib’s good form will be key to Hyderabad’s success going into the tournament.

Deepak Hooda: (4/10)

Star from the last match, Hooda had no big role to play in this game. He played a secondary role to Yusuf Pathan scoring five runs off nine balls. However, his form is necessary for SRH going into the long league.

Yusuf Pathan: (8/10)

The veteran all-rounder played a crucial unbeaten knock to win the match for the Sunrisers. He scored 17 runs from seven balls, as Hyderabad won three back to back games. Pathan’s return to form will be a huge boost for the Sunrisers.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar: (7.5/10)

Kumar once again led the bowling attack returning with three for 26 runs in his four overs. He is the key to SRH’s success with the new ball. Over the years he had done so and will look to continue his good run.

Rashid Khan: (4.5/10)

It was a rare off day for the Afghanistan spinner. He went for 31 runs in his four overs. However, it is not a sign of worry for the Hyderabad, as he had come back stronger earlier.

Siddarth Kaul: (4/10)

It is the first time Kaul was at the receiving end. He went for 37 runs in his four overs and claimed the lone wicket of Shivam Mavi. Meanwhile, he has had a good series, and it is likely that he will bounce back.

Billy Stanlake: (7/10)
