Chennai Super Kings (CSK) came back to winning ways, as they beat Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 64 runs in a high-scoring encounter.

Batting first, Chennai banked on Shane Watson’s swashbuckling hundred to post a staggering total. Suresh Raina and Dwayne Bravo also provided good support to the Australian all-rounder.

Watson smashed 106 runs off just 57 deliveries including nine fours and six sixes, as he took the game away from the visitors. As a result, CSK posted 204 runs on the board

However, in reply, Rajasthan struggled right from the beginning against a decent Chennai attack.

Although Ben Stokes tried his best, he lacked support from the other end. Chennai bowlers were spot on, as they restricted RR for 140 runs.

The veteran all-rounder was stunning with the bat, as Chennai banked on his hundred to post such a huge total.

Watson scored 106 runs in 57 balls with the help of nine fours and six sixes.

Ambati Rayudu: (3.5/10)

Rayadu after a great start to this edition of IPL failed to provide a good start in today’s game. The opener notched up 12 runs from eight deliveries before getting out.

Suresh Raina: (7.5/10)

Raina made an outstanding comeback, as he returned to the first XI as he was recovering from an injury. The southpaw played an outstanding hand of 46 runs off 29 deliveries.

Sam Billings: (2/10)

The batsman from England had a bad outing in today’s game. Billing failed to get his timing right, as he couldn’t get away.

He got out scoring three runs off five deliveries. Meanwhile, he will look to improve his performance in the next outing.

MS Dhoni (c & wk): (3/10)

Dhoni after a blistering knock in the last game failed to replicate his knock in this game. However, he will look to lead the team from the front cometh the new game.

Ravindra Jadeja: (2.5/10)

The southpaw had a very minimal role to play in this game. Dhoni didn’t make him bowl in this match. Meanwhile, he came at the fag end, as he remained unbeaten on two runs.

Dwayne Bravo: (8/10)

Bravo made an all-round contribution in the game against Rajasthan. After scoring 24 runs off 16 balls, he bagged two crucial wickets. His form will be a huge advantage for the Chennai team management.

Deepak Chahar: (6.5/10)

The young fast-bowler was outstanding with the new ball for Chennai against Rajasthan team. Chahar bowled good line and length and had impressed in the opening overs. He returned with two wickets from four overs giving away 30 runs.

Karn Sharma: (7/10)

Karn used his opportunity to full effect, as he picked two wickets in the game. The leg-spinner returned two for 13 runs in his 1.3 overs.

He will look to improve his performance in the next game if he get’s an opportunity.

Shardul Thakur: (7.5/10)

The pacer from Mumbai was outstanding with the new ball justifying his selection. Shardul returned with two for 18 from three overs, as Rajasthan got out for 140 runs.

Imran Tahir: (4/10)

Tahir had an off day in business, as he went for plenty of runs. The South African spinner gave away 44 runs in his four overs claiming only one wicket.

He will look to improve his performance and contain runs in the middle-over.
