Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) came back to winning ways, as they beat a depleted Delhi Daredevils (DD) side by six wickets banking on AB de Villiers‘ magical knock.

Meanwhile, batting first, Delhi posted a challenging total of 174 runs in their 20 overs. Rishabh Pant played a swashbuckling knock of 85 runs from 48 deliveries. Shreyas Iyer also provided good support with a well-made half-century.

However, it was two timely partnership that sealed the game for the hosts. Skipper Virat Kohli steadied the inning after losing an early wicket. However, it was the South African star that made the difference between the two teams.

De Villiers played a blistering knock of 90 runs from 39 deliveries including ten fours and five sixes to take his team over the rope.

Meanwhile, this win will forge the Challengers to the fifth spot with two wins from five games.

Manan Vohra: (2/10)

Vohra failed to make use of the right opportunity on his first outing for the Challengers.

Meanwhile, he had the platform set, however, got out scoring just two runs from five deliveries.

Quinton de Kock (wk): (4.5/10)

The South Africa wicket-keeper batsman has failed to convert the starts. De Kock’s poor form has given a significant problem to the RCB camp.

Although Bangalore crossed the line with ease, they will want an inform de Kock in the next game.

Virat Kohli (c): (6/10)

Skipper Virat Kohli once again led the team, as he steadied the ship after losing an early wicket.

However, he couldn’t finish the game on his hands, as he departed scoring 30 runs off 26 balls.

AB de Villiers: (10/10)

The senior pro once again stood up to the occasion when the team needed him the most. De Villiers’ unbeaten knock of 90 runs from just 39 deliveries saw the team home.

The Bangalore management will want some more heroics from the South African in the upcoming games.

Mandeep Singh: (7/10)

Mandeep played a secondary role to de Villiers, as they took the team home. He remained unbeaten on 17 from nine balls.

However, he contributed well right from the start and will look to continue his efforts.

Corey Anderson: (6/10)

The all-rounder from New Zealand had a mixed outing in this game. He gave away ten runs form one over picking one wicket before making a useful contribution of 15.

However, Anderson will have up his game to retain his spot in the team.

Washington Sundar: (5.5/10)

Sundar had an average game with the ball, bowling some tight overs in the middle. The young off-spinner returned with one for 31 in his four overs.

Sundar will have to try and pick more wickets and contribute to RCB’s success.

Chris Woakes: (4/10)

It was a bad day in business for the England all-rounder. Woakes gave away 40 runs at an economy rate of ten.

He will have to pick wickets with the new ball and provide early breakthroughs to Bangalore.

Umesh Yadav: (6.5/10)

So far, Umesh Yadav has been the star bowler for the Bangalore side. He has bowled with great pace and accuracy.

The fast bowler returned with figures of one for 27 in his four overs. However, he needs to take more wickets if RCB has to go ahead in the tournament.

Mohammed Siraj: (4.5/10)

Siraj went for 35 runs in his four overs. He needs to keep things tight if he wants to be in the first XI.

However, Siraj has immense prospects and has already made his debut for the national team.

Yuzvendra Chahal: (7/10)

Chahal has been a star performer for the Royal Challengers over the years. Kohli has used him according to the situation of the game.

Chahal returned with two for 22 in the three overs he bowled in the match.
