IPL 2018: Match 23, Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – Sunrisers Hyderabad Players’ Ratings

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) banked on a brilliant performance to return to winning ways against the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Batting first, Hyderabad posted 118 runs on the board, as the top-order collapsed. Skipper Kane Williamson and Yusuf Pathan scored 29 runs each to ensure that Hyderabad to go past the 100-run mark.

Mumbai bowlers did a fair with Mayank Markande winning back the Purple Cap, as he returned with two wickets.
Meanwhile, it looked like a cakewalk for the home team. However, Hyderabad bowlers had different things in mind. Rashid Khan and Siddarth Kaul were outstanding, as they restricted Mumbai for 87 runs.
Surya Kumar Yadav put in a valiant effort but was not enough to take his team over the rope. SRH is now at third on the points table with four wins from six games.

Shikhar Dhawan: (2/10)
Dhawan had a poor return to form, as he got out for five runs. However, he had a good series so far in this league. His form will be crucial for Hyderabad going into the tournament.
Kane Williamson (c): (6/10)
Williamson promoted himself in the opening slot and continued his good form. He played some gorgeous shots, as he scored 29 runs off 21 deliveries with five fours.

Meanwhile, he was spot on with his strategies, as Hyderabad netted an important two points.
Wriddhiman Saha (wk): (0/10)
The wicket-keeper batsman needs to put some score under his belt if he wants to retain his place.
Saha got out for a duck. However, the team management will want some good starts from him.
Manish Pandey: (3/10)
The middle-order batsman has had an average series so far. He will have to take the onus on himself if Hyderabad has to score big. Manish scored 16 runs off 11 deliveries including three boundaries.
Shakib Al Hasan: (6/10)
Although he failed with the bat, Shakib was brilliant with the ball in hand. He kept things tight in the middle, as he returned with one for 16 in his three overs. His form with the ball will be a huge boost for the Hyderabad side.

Yusuf Pathan: (7/10)
Pathan single-handedly took the team’s total over 118 to at least give something to the bowlers to bowl at. The veteran all-rounder played a matured knock of 29 runs to guide his team to a modest total.
Mohammad Nabi: (7/10)
The Afghanistan all-rounder playing for the first time in this season had a good outing. He scored 14 runs before returning with one for 23 in three overs.
He bowled tightly in the powerplay overs and set the tone for the visitors.
Rashid Khan: (9/10)
Rashid Kahn yet again gave a superlative effort to win the match for his team. After having two poor outing, the young leg-spinner was back to his basics.
He returned with two for 11 in his four overs including a maiden, as Mumbai lost the plot.
Basil Thampi: (8/10)
Playing his first game, Thampi did a good job with the ball. Coming to bowl at a crucial juncture, Thampi returned with two for four in 1.5 overs. This will be a huge confidence booster for the young seamer going in the tournament.
Sandeep Sharma: (8/10)
The fast bowler from Punjab has time and again prove his worth with the new ball. He once again put a swashbuckling effort with the ball.
Sandeep returned with one for 9 in his three overs. His form will be a plus point for SRH who will miss the service of Billy Stanlake for the rest of the tournament.
Siddarth Kaul: (8.5/10)
Kaul is growing in stature playing regularly at an international stage. He was pivotal for the Sunrisers, as he returned with three for 23 in his quota of four overs.
Meanwhile, he had an outstanding series so far and will look to continue doing so.
