Royal Challengers Bangalore IPL 2018
Mohammad Siraj bowled well in the death overs to help RCB win its third game of the IPL 2018 against Mumbai Indians.

The 31st match of the tournament saw a clash between the two teams, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians languishing at the bottom half of the table.

However, it was the Virat-led side who bagged a critical 14 run win over defending champions, Mumbai to keep the hopes of making it to the playoffs alive.

Here’s a look at the Game-Changing moments from the game.

Manan Vohra’s early blitz

In a crunch game, Manan Vohra gave a flying start to his team with his free-flowing knock of 45, which came off just 32 deliveries.

When Vohra was batting in the middle, the pitch looked like a 180-200 run wicket, where he scored two boundaries and four sixes.

Hardik Pandya quadruple strike

After the wickets of Quinton de Kock and Manan Vohra, captain Virat Kohli and Brendon McCullum took the initiative to end up with a match-winning score with their 60-run partnership in double quick time.

However, Hardik Pandya single-handedly turned the match in favour of Mumbai Indians by breaking the spine of Royal Challengers Bangalore batting.

He first helps get rid-off the dangerous looking Brendon McCullum with a brilliant direct hit. Soon after, he took the wickets of Virat Kohli, who was batting in his 30s and was ready to press the gas in the final overs.

Finally, he removed Royal Challengers Bangalore finishers, Mandeep Singh and Washington Sundar, to rock the hosts’ boat.

26 runs conceded by Mumbai off two deliveries

Mumbai Indians ended up conceding a couple of dozen more than expected due to the no-balls bowled by Hardik Pandya and Mitchell McClenaghan.

It turned out to be a momentum shifter by the end of the first innings. On a pitch getting slower by every delivery, conceding 13 on a single ball twice is a cardinal sin.

Mercurial Umesh Yadav

Much like the story this season, Royal Challengers Bangalore struck three wickets in no time, within the power plays.

Umesh Yadav picked up the wickets of Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav. Later on, he affected another dismissal via run-out.

The Red and Blacks were on their way towards victory with the score at 85, and half of Mumbai Indians back in the hut.

RCB’s death bowling has been a debatable point of discussion in the tournament until now. Before this match, there had been numerous occasions when RCB lost games after leaking way too many at the death.

However, just when the doctor ordered, the pace bowling stood out during the death when the Pandya brothers were threatening to cash in with the RCB’s reputation.

The group of De Grandhomme, Southee, and Mohammed Siraj, stood out to seal a significant win for RCB and Kohli.
