Pitch report from Michael Clarke:
“I believe both teams will look to spin to win it. There are cracks on the pitch and no grass at all. The surface will get slower as the match goes on. The captain will look to bat first and then use the spinners along with the long boundaries. 160 should be a par score.”
Here is what the captains said:
MS Dhoni:
“We will bat first. We had a high committee meeting and the coach said we should bat first. We have a couple of changes. All our changes are because of injuries. I like to play with a squad that is well balanced. Not a lot. Before the start of the IPL I spoke to Fleming and said to him I would like to bat higher.”
Ajinkya Rahane:
“We are supporting cancer patients. It is a great initiative by Rajasthan Royals. It is for all the people in Rajasthan to go out there and get a health check up every six months. We are all happy to support it. It is a great challenge for all of us and we are in a great position, we have to win four out of four. We know CSK is a good team and it is all about giving our best. Couple of changes for us as well. We should stay in the present and forget about the last game. The start will be important; the first six overs.”
