IPL 2018: 6th Match, RR vs DD – Rajasthan Royals’ Predicted XI

Rajasthan Royals (RR) will look to come back to winning ways against Delhi Daredevils (DD) after a humiliating loss in the first game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Hyderabad.

The Royals was outdone by their opponents in both the departments. The Jaipur-based outfit lost wickets at regular intervals and failed to pick wickets with the ball in return.

However, they will be eager to shift the tide to their favour in the next game on Wednesday (April 11). The senior players need to step up to the occasion and take the onus on themselves.

Meanwhile, with a middle-order collapse in the last game, the Royals will likely to strengthen their batting order in the next game.

They are likely to make a single change in the next game.

Here is the predicted XI of Rajasthan Royals:

Ajinkya Rahane (c):

Skipper Ajinkya Rahane needs to come to the forefront if the Royals want to come back to winning ways.

Rahane got the start in the last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad but failed to capitalise the start.

D Arcy Short:

The swashbuckling opener D’Arcy Short had a poor start to his IPL career. Short was eventually short of his crease as he got run out.

However, he will look to entertain the crowd with his clean hitting prowess.

Sanju Samson:

Sanju Samson was the lone batsman to get a decent score in the first game. He played a 42-ball 49 runs knock but couldn’t take the attack to the opposition as his team kept losing wickets at the other end.

The stylish wicket-keeper batsman. however, will want to continue his good run in the next fixture.

Ben Stokes:

The costliest player in the IPL had a pretty average start. He failed with the bat and was taken for 21 runs in two overs.

However, he will be eager to pay back the trust shown by Rajasthan.

Jos Buttler (wk):

The hard-hitting Jos Buttler also had a very poor start with the bat. He got the ideal time to shine with the bat but failed.

However, he will look to showcase his talent in the next fixture.

Rahul Tripathi:

Rahul Tripathi will curse himself for not capitalising the start he got. He departed after scoring 17 off 15 deliveries.

Tripathi will look to make it up and cement his place in the squad.

Stuart Binny:

All-rounder Stuart Binny is likely to get a spot in the first XI after a batting collapse in the first game. He will bring additional depth to the batting along with his gentle medium pace.

For Binny, he will look to grab the opportunity and seal a berth for himself.

Krishnappa Gowtham:

Krishnappa Gowtham bowled only one over as he was taken out of the attack for giving away nine runs.

Moreover, he also failed to shine with the bat. He will be raring to perform in the next game against Delhi Daredevils.

Shreyas Gopal:

The leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal was economical with the ball against a star-studded Sunrisers line-up.

However, Shreyas needs to chip in with wickets in the middle-overs. Rajasthan will rely on him to shine against the Daredevils.

Jaydev Unadkat:

The costliest fast bowler had a pretty average outing on his debut for the Royals. Shikhar Dhawan went bonkers at Unadkat as he gave away 28 runs in three overs.

Although he picked the lone wicket of Wriddhiman Saha, he needs contribute more if Rajasthan has to come to winnings ways.

Ben Laughlin:

The fast bowler Ben Laughlin from Australia had a poor debut for his third IPL franchise. He shared the new ball with Unadkat but went for 20 runs in 2 overs.

He will be eager to hit the form and provide early breakthroughs to his team.
