2. Brendon McCullum (13 sixes against KKR)
If we look at the last decade of the tournament, a major credit of IPL’s success should go to Brendon McCullum, who in the very first match ever, scored a mammoth 158 against RCB at Chinnaswamy.
The image of McCullum smashing bowlers out of the park, lit up the tournament up-front as IPL became an instant hit. Therefore, the knock holds a special place in the history books as well as the records.
Baz, during his 73-ball stay, smashed as many as 13 sixes during his knock. This effort is placed second in the tally of the most number of sixes in a single inning. Here’s a flashback.
