Against all the odds, the Mumbai Indians juggernaut continues to roll on this season, with their third consecutive win in the tournament.
Again, it was the men in blue who trumped over the Kolkata Knight Riders, humbling them with a record 102-run win, at their home ground at Eden Gardens. It was the swashbuckling knock from the young Turk, Ishan Kishan which set up the Mumbai Indians win this time.

Much like his previous outings, Kishan wasted no time, and hit the ball sweetly, right from the first ball he faced. Also, he brought up one of the fastest fifties in the tournament, needing only 17 balls to bring up his milestone.
Mumbai Indians take a thumping win riding at the back of Kishan’s outrageous knock
Kishan made merry of the sorry looking KKR bowling attack with his 21-ball 65, which came at a jaw-dropping strike rate of 295.

He entertained the crowd at Eden Gardens with five boundaries and six maximums during his outrageous knock. His knock took Mumbai to a 210 with the other stalwarts batting around him.
KKR, in pursuit of the target, capitulated for 108, thereby, handing a massive victory to the MI side which shows them the doors to the playoffs.
“Had a chat with my skipper, he told me to go there and back myself. My plan was to look at the ball till the last moment and keep smacking,” Ishan Kishan told while receiving the man of the match award.

“Have to believe in yourself, your strengths. Win was important for us; point was to stay there, back yourself and put up a good show. I’m okay with batting anywhere depending on the team situation,” concluded Kishan.
