With Samsung to serve as the lead sponsor for the Mumbai-based outfit, it has been expected that it will further help its drive the value of the brand.
“MI is one of the top three strongest brands in the IPL and Mumbai being the biggest advertising market, there are multiple factors working for the team. Its on-field performance has been consistent,” ET quotes Indranil.
Pertinently, Rohit Sharma-led Indians were sponsored by Videocon earlier. Since 2013, Videocon has completed the five-year deal before being replaced by its rival.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led side has the title sponsor in the form of The Muthoot Group.
The three-time champions of the IPL, Mumbai will face-off Chennai Super Kings on April 7 at the home base; Wankhede Stadium.

In February 2018, the reports suggested Samsung was in talks with the IPL franchise which turned out a reality before the impending edition of the IPL leg.
“It is never short on star power and many brands want to be associated with the owners (Ambani). So it is natural for the team to command higher value,” concludes Indranil.
Concluding, Mumbai Indians have the partners in the form of Jio Money, Kingfisher, Sharp and Usha in particular.
Also, Goibino will serve as the shirt sponsor. Moreover, the associate sponsors would also include DHFL, Munch, Performax, Burger King and Taiwan Excellence.
