The ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) can turn out to be the last season for some of the players. Well, the performances of these professionals have had dipped which can lead to their removal from the 2019 edition. Moreover, these players also don’t find the age on their side. Thus, they might not partake in the next season of the lucrative league.

As the new young talent is coming through the ranks, the distinct franchises might turn their back towards these veteran players.

However, we may witness these players playing a different role in the next season. Such players can be in contention to play a role of a mentor.

Let’s take a look at these three players who might not play in Next Season.

Harbhajan Singh has had a quiet season for the Super Kings. The veteran off-spinner has scalped only seven wickets in the 11 matches he has played for the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led team.

Furthermore, Harbhajan Singh has also turned 37 years old.

Moreover, the finger spinner has looked sloppy on some occasions in the field.

Harbhajan hasn’t able to extract the same turn from the pitch as well. The experienced campaigner has leaked runs at an economy of 8.32.

2. Gautam Gambhir:

Gautam Gambhir had come into the season with the huge expectations of leading Daredevils. However, Gambhir was neither able to deliver the goods with the bat nor as a captain.

In fact, Gautam stepped down from the captaincy role as the pressure grew on him.

The southpaw batsman was able to accumulate 85 runs in the first five matches of the IPL 2018 season. However, Gautam had scored a fine fifty in the first match of Daredevils campaign against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). The veteran batsman didn’t play any match after stepping down from the captaincy role.

1. Yuvraj Singh:

Yuvraj Singh form has taken a huge dip in the last couple of years. Furthermore, the talismanic batsman hasn’t looked at the top of his game. It is also disappointing to note that Yuvraj has struggled in the field.

Yuvraj fitness has also gone down with age. Thus, it has taken its toll on the game of the linchpin all-rounder.

The southpaw scored 65 runs in the six innings he played for the Kings XI Punjab.

Consequently, Yuvraj was shown the exit doors from the playing XI by the Punjab think tank in this edition of IPL.
