IPL 2018: Twitter Reacts to Ishan Kishan’s Brisk 17-Ball Fifty Propelling Mumbai to 210

The second leg of the league stage encounter between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders held at the iconic Eden Gardens stadium.
Dinesh Karthik‘s Knights had their task cut out to avenge their defeat last weekend at the Wankhede Stadium. The Purple Army needed a win from their icons, such they remain in contention for the fourth spot in the Playoffs.
Mumbai Indians‘ prized possession, Ishan Kishan lit up the atmosphere by striking a 17-ball half century. Following his mantra this season, the young, explosive southpaw wasted no time in the middle, providing the impetus during MI’s outing.
Kishan scored a handy 21-ball 62 at an explosive strike rate of 295, which consisted of five boundaries and six maximums. Rohit Sharma gave ample support to the young Turk while Ambani’s team were going at ten rpo during the middle overs.
The talking point during the Mumbai Indians‘ batting effort was the no-ball given off the bowling of Tom Curran. According to the replay, the ball clearly wasn’t a no-ball, as the umpiring in the Indian Premier League was yet again brought into scrutiny.
Through some fine hitting by the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and the others, Mumbai Indians set a total of 211 in front of the hosts.
Here’s how Twitterati reacted
Ishan Kishan's 17-ball fifty is the joint fastest fifty by anyone for Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
Kieron Pollard also scored a 17-ball fifty vs KKR in 2016. #IPL2018 #KKRvMI— Sampath Bandarupalli (@SampathStats) May 9, 2018
Unnecessary coverage to Rishabh Pant , Destroying the career of other youngsters like Ishan Kishan , Shreyas Iyyer , Prithivi Shaw , Shubhman Gill and Sanju samson !! #KKRvMI

Cricket apart, the umpiring standards have always been poor in the IPL! Need to do something about it or bring the elite umpires! @IPL #SelectDugout #KKRvMI

If there's an obviously wrong no-ball call by the on-field umpire, the 3rd ump should have the power to intervene (just as he does when checking for no balls at the time of a dismissal). #IPL #KKRvMI
