Dhoni has been in the headlines for his impressive return to form. However, this time, it’s his love for dogs which has brought him into the limelight once again.

The former India captain took one of his ‘friend’ for a ride to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) dressing room. It is unclear if the dog belonged to Dhoni or not. According to reports, it was the same dog which Dhoni had requested the Maharashtra Cricket Association to adopt.

CSK is playing their home matches at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune due to security concerns in Chennai because of protests by various groups for the formation of the Cauvery management board.

In a video posted on the official CSK’s Twitter handle, Dhoni along with teammate, Deepak Chahar took the dog for a tour of the CSK dressing room with a caption,

“My friend is here”.

CSK’s official account also posted a picture of Dhoni along with the dog with a caption,

“Cute and Gethu in one picture. #CanineLove #WhistlePodu #CSKvRCB”
