Dhawan had continued the similar form when Sunrisers hosted Rajasthan Royals on Monday. He scored an unbeaten 77 and drove Sunrisers team to a comprehensive victory in their season opener.

He was subsequently awarded the “Man of the match” award. With the absence of David Warner this season, the onus is on experienced Shikhar Dhawan to deliver it for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Kane Williamson had already looked at home in his new role, as skipper of the side. All in all, an in-form Dhawan will definitely be dangerous if not contained properly. He has a huge part to play once again in the success of Sunrisers Hyderabad this season.
