The wait will be over in a few hours. The much-awaited eleventh season of the Indian Premier League is all set to commence with a blockbuster of a clash in Mumbai.
In a repeat of 2015 final, defending champions Mumbai Indians will take on returning Chennai Super Kings at their fortress.

Mumbai Indians will be keen to start their title-defence on a winning note. On the other hand, the Super Kings would be desperate to make a winning return to the league.
They are making a comeback to the league after two years. In 2015, the Super Kings received a two-year ban from the court on corruption charges. Both the teams have enjoyed a great rivalry over the years.
And it is safe to say the fans are looking forward to seeing these two teams in action against each other again.
But before the game starts, we are taking a look at how the weather Gods will behave on Saturday. As per MET department, Mumbai’s weather will be clear for the IPL opener. The temperature will be hovering around 30 Degree Celsius during the game.
With no prediction of rain, the fans will be able to enjoy a full game. But at the same time, humidity can make it tough for the players and the crowd.
It will be around 61% when the game will start and will increase eventually and go beyond 70% by the time the second innings gets underway.
