The tournament is slated to end just a few days before the start of the World Cup and the tournament will definitely serve as a preparatory tournament for those who is in contention for a national berth in World Cup.
There are several big names in the tournament. However, not all the big names have managed to come out all cylinders blazing and perform consistently which has been the downfall of their franchise. The Mumbai Indians skipper is a stalwart for his franchise and has been one of the top run-getters in the tournament. However, he had a relatively offseason in 2018 which proved to be vital in the end. The three-time champions failed to qualify for the playoffs. His inconsistency at the top of the order was one of the major reasons why Mumbai failed to qualify for the playoffs. Rohit Sharma has revealed that he will open in all the matches this season. It will be great signs for Mumbai. Rohit will look to come up with a special performance this year and go to the World Cup on the back of some terrific form.
