The southpaw who is known as the Universe Boss in World Cricket was bought by the Kings XI Punjab at the last round of the IPL Auctions. He began with a bang and scored a few fifties and also backed it up with a brilliant century. His terrific form at the beginning of the tournament helped Punjab lead the points table.
However, his indifferent form towards the latter part of the tournament didn’t help Punjab and they ended up failing to qualify for the playoffs despite a sensational start to the tournament. Gayle is a sensational T20 batsman and has smashed most centuries and sixes in the tournament. Ahead of the World Cup, the Jamaica King will look to treat the crowd to some scintillating strokeplay.
