The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is just around the corner and just like most of the years, we cannot wait to see the first ball of the tournament being bowled. The IPL season opener will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings on 23rd March. Meanwhile, the tournament will also serve as a preparatory tournament for the ICC Cricket World Cup which will be held in England and Wales in a couple of month’s time.

IPL has always been a budding ground for all the emerging stars. The tournament has changed the lifestyle of many cricketers forever and it is expected to be the same this time around. There will be several cricketers who will go into the tournament on the back of some terrific form.

Now this man needs no introduction. There is no doubt about the fact that he is the greatest batsmen of the modern generation across formats. His ODI record has been exceptional and has scored heaps of runs in the last few years irrespective of formats.

During the recently concluded ODI series against Australia Kohli struck a couple of centuries and took his centuries tally to 41. The Indian skipper will definitely look to come all guns blazing in the tournament and help Royal Challengers Bangalore win their maiden IPL title.
