The Afghanistan leg-spinner is expected to make a huge mark in the tournament just like he did in the last edition for his franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. He finished as the joint leading wicket-taker and bamboozled several batsmen. His dismissal of AB de Villiers and KL Rahul were two of the best deliveries bowled during the tournament.

Prior to the tournament, Rashid Khan has looked a lethal option for his skipper in all the formats he has played so far. He is also a terrific fielder and a useful lower order batsman. Last year he made a sensational 34 of a mere 10 deliveries against Kolkata Knight Riders and announced his arrival in the tournament with the bat in hand.
