Kings XI Punjab vs Mumbai Indians – Kings XI Punjab Predicted Playing XI
1. Chris Gayle:

The stylish southpaw will once again be the key for the Punjab franchise. The flamboyant batsman got his touch and hitting the ball as sweetly as he ever did. Punjab would hope him burst the cylinders against Mumbai Indians.
2. KL Rahul:

So far, he hasn’t done anything good for the team. He failed to make things fall in place for the team. However, he would like to make most of the opportunity at the home venue against Mumbai Indians’ lineup. His return to form is very important for the side.
3. Mayank Agarwal:

Agarwal found his form in the previous game against KKR. He struck a brilliant fifty in the high-scoring chase on the board. However, he couldn’t hang in the middle to shoulder the team to victory.
4. Sarfaraz Khan:

Khan impressed one and all with his stunning knock in the match against Rajasthan. However, he couldn’t repeat the same in the game against KKR. The flamboyant batsman would get the chance in the upcoming game.
5. David Miller:

The Proteas star delivered goods right in his first game. Unfortunately, he ended up on the wrong side of things. Meanwhile, the left-handed batsman had done enough to retain his place in the side.
6. Mandeep Singh:

The Punjab batsman had shown his skills with the bat. The flamboyant batsman was given an uphill task in the previous game but he showed his calibre by hitting a brilliant 33 off 15 balls. He deserves a bit of promotion in his batting order.
7. Ravichandran Ashwin:

The skipper is the certain candidate in the playing XI. He was taken to the cleaners in the previous game but delivered brilliantly in the first game. Ashwin would like to deliver in the first home game of the series.
8. Mohammed Shami:

yet another certain candidate in the playing XI is Shami. He has been stunning for his franchise, especially, in the death overs. The flamboyant cricketer is very much willing to deliver goods for the team.
9. Sam Curran:

Sam Curran might be back in the side replacing South African fast bowler Viljoen. The left-handed batsman has got the knack of picking wickets and can deliver the goods with his bat.
10. Mujeeb ur Rahman:

The Afghanistan spinner might be back in the side replacing Andrew Tye. Mujeeb bowled brilliantly in the first game but Punjab rested him thus giving a chance to the young Varun Chakaravarthy. However, he would be back in the playing XI.
11. Ankit Rajpoot:

His exclusion in the previous game was a surprise. However, they would ask him to make a comeback by leaving Varun out of the playing XI. The youngster has got great pace and hits those uncomfortable lines and lengths.
Ratings:
Batting – 8.5/10
So far, there batting looks pretty strong with the top six showing good display of their skills apart from KL Rahul. His return to the form is a must for the team at any cost. Chris Gayle’s form is a brilliant thing for Punjab.
Bowling – 7.5/10
They haven’t got any breakthrough bowler yet in the tournament. They looked pretty poor in the game against Kolkata while in the game against Rajasthan, it was Mankading, which really saved them. The only positive in the bowling section is Mohammed Shami.
