IPL 2019: Andre Rusell Was Struck By A Bouncer On Neck, Uncertain For Next Game
It was a tough one to take for Kolkata Knight Riders ‘ franchise and their fans, as the match-winner of the team Andre Russell is down with a neck injury. It took place in the practice session, which kept his participation for the next game in a jeopardy.
The flamboyant striker of the ball went down immediately after being struck by the young bowler Minad Manjrekar. Immediately, the physios attended him and took Russel out of the park.
The only good sign during the incident is that Russell got an opportunity to use Stretcher in order to get away from the field, however, he chose to walk instead of using it, which is a good sign that Russell isn’t suffered any major injury.
After taking away from the field, he was later taken for an MRI scan to CMRI hospital, the result of which is likely to be known on Thursday. His condition is yet to be known.

Kolkata Knight Riders are set to host Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday. So far, Russell has been the star for KKR. This season, Russell scored 312 runs from seven innings at a strike-rate of 213.70.

Last time, when Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders’ locked horns, the flamboyant striker was the major difference in the game. Out of nowhere, he pulled a match-winning knock for the team from the jaws of losing it, thus leaving RCB in a dark phase.
So far, he has been the star for Kolkata in many ways. He pulled out those crucial knocks when it mattered the most and also bowled at crucial junctures of the game before injuring his shoulder. All in all, it was a stellar ride for him so far in the tournament.
