The veteran Bengal fast bowler Ashok Dinda has been at heart of the social media trolls in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Every time a bowler went out for too many runs, the fans have morphed Dinda’s images to mock him. Things went out of hand when Royal Challengers Bangalore’s official Twitter handle followed the trend too and mocked the senior cricketer. However, Dinda has finally broken his silence on the matter and gave a befitting reply to his trolls.
The trollers on social media have taken a dig at Ashok Dinda every time a bowler has conceded too many runs. They have dragged the Bengal pacer saying that the particular bowler has joined the Dinda Academy. It has been a trend on social media since the start of IPL 2019. Last night, during the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab, the official Twitter account of RCB also took a sly dig after Umesh Yadav defended 27 runs off the last over to give his side the vital two points. They soon deleted the tweet after receiving heavy criticism from the fans.
Holding his patience for long, Ashok Dinda has finally hurled back at his trolls on Instagram. He put some statistics to reply back to the trollers and urged them to his name out of their mouth. Dinda has been a star bowler for Bengal in the domestic circuit for quite some time now. He has been their highest wicket-taker season after season and has led the bowling pack.
He also boasts a decent record in the IPL picking 68 wickets from 78 games at an economy-rate of 8.22. Ashok Dinda also represented India in 13 ODIs and 9 T20Is claiming 29 wickets across formats. He last played an IPL game in 2017 and since then has not found any franchise in the auctions.
“Haters, helping you get you statistics right. Stop and stare well your opinion is not my reality. So shut your hating selves and keep me out of your mouth,” Dinda gave a befitting reply.
