After a fine time in the tournament, Royal Challengers Bangalore is striding their way on the right side of things. But, it seems like the luck isn’t favouring them, as their new recruit Dale Steyn has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament owing to a shoulder injury.
Out of nowhere, Dale Steyn has landed in the Indian Premier League 2019 at the crunch situation for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He made a massive impact on the game to see Virat Kohli-led side cross the victory line on two occasions when he was in the playing XI.
Initially, he did decent enough against Kolkata Knight Riders and then, in the game against CSK, he was a force to reckon with. Firstly, he bowled a stunning outswinger to get the edge of Watson, which was nicely grabbed by Stoinis.

Dale Steyn suffered an inflammation on his shoulder:
And, then, it was the unplayable inswinging yorker to Suresh Raina, which castled his stumps and kept RCB on top of the game. However, unfortunately, it was his last game in the tournament, as he was replaced by Tim Southee in the playing XI in their clash against Kings XI Punjab.
Now, the latest news is that Dale Steyn has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament and will head back home for his recovery ahead of ICC World Cup 2019. Dale Steyn got an inflammation on his shoulder, which troubled him earlier as well.

“Dale Steyn has been prescribed with ample rest due to inflammation in his shoulder. On account of state of his health, Dale will not be available to take part further in the ongoing season of IPL. His presence has helped the team immensely and we are very thankful for the inspiration and passion that he brought to the squad,” read the statement given by Sanjeev Churiwala, Chairman of RCB.
However, it is a big dent for Royal Challengers Bangalore, who are on a roll in the middle. Not only for Royal Challengers but also it would be a big concern for South Africa, who selected him for the ICC World Cup 2019.
Coming back to Royal Challengers Bangalore, they made themselves stay in the hunt by winning four out of their last 5 games. Currently, they are placed seventh in the points table with 4 wins in their kitty. If they manage to win the rest of the games and if few scenarios go in their way, they would make into playoff stage.
