The South African speedster Kagiso Rabada, who is one of the foreign players participating in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2019), has made a significant impact in the domestic professional league. He believes it’s his responsibility to reap rewards for the team. Concurrently, he is leading the Delhi Capitals’ (DC) pace attack alongside Ishant Sharma.
Soon after the supreme bowling show by Keemo Paul, who bagged three wickets alongside Chris Morris, Rabada believes diversity plays a quintessential role.

Amid the theatrics, the fast bowlers have learnt the trait of taking pace off the ball. In a tricky chase, such dynamics have worked wonders. In this season, most of the bowlers have preferred to deliver a knuckleball which considering the stark comparison of the pitches from Chepauk to M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
“We have our game plans and all that we try to do is to stick to it. We hope it goes our way and more often than not, it should go your way. It’s been the trend so far, you need to have variety in your pace. We try to talk about change-ups especially if wickets are assisting those type of changes. It has worked for us,” IANS quoted Rabada as saying.
After sitting at par with Proteas teammate and leg-spinner Imran Tahir, who plays for Chennai Super Kings, Rabada overtakes Tahir in the late-night games against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 14 (Sunday).
In eight matches so far, Rabada has bagged 17 wickets which includes two four-fors. Rabada has conceded 239 runs off his 186 deliveries in the ongoing twelfth edition of the IPL.
Eventually, the Purple Cap holder has helped his team Capitals to rout Hyderabad by 39 runs. The 23-year-old Johannesburg-born paceman Rabada has conceded 22 runs in 3.5 overs to bag four wickets.
Besides, Rabada claimed the wickets of David Warner, Vijay Shankar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed respectively.

While bolstering the bowling unit alongside, Ishant and Kemo Paul, Rabada revealed he has stuck to his basics. He reiterated if the situation gets difficult he backs his strength to overcome the hurdle.
Rabada maintained the foreign recruits have a part to play. He has expressed satisfaction on seeing results falling in their way.
“In many ways, you do have a responsibility as an overseas player. I just feel that you have to do your best. We are working on all the departments and it’s working well for us,” Rabada stated.
Also, it was visible during a super over against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi on March 30 when Rabada had defended an 11-run target against batting portent KKR.
Rabada, who got an introduction in the tenth edition of the IPL, featured in six games during his debut IPL stint. So far, in 14 games Rabada has claimed 23 wickets in 14 matches.
