Yuvraj Singh was the greatest steal in the Indian Premier League auctions ever. He has been bought for the base price of INR 1 Crore, which is something, none would have expected. Over the years, he was the highest-paid cricketer but unfortunately, he lost his mojo to get those bid. Meanwhile, Gautam Gambhir makes his voice on his buy.

Yuvraj Singh went unsold in the first round of the auctions. However, Mumbai Indians were smart in waiting till the end and then, grabbed his services for the base price of INR 1 Crore. The news headlined for quite a few days, as it was the greatest steal in the IPL auctions.

Yuvraj Singh Didn’t even get respect – Gautam Gambhir

Meanwhile, the stylish southpaw Gautam Gambhir, who is a close friend of Yuvraj Singh felt that the man of the tournament in ICC World Cup 2011 and World Cup 2007 was given less money for his participation in the tournament. He also felt that he was given less respect.

Gautam while speaking to Navbharat Times said that “Yuvraj did not get enough respect and neither did he get enough money, he was paid less in this IPL as well.” Yuvraj Singh was bought by Mumbai Indians after he went unsold in the initial stage of the IPL auction.

Yuvraj Singh was given the chance in the playing XI in the initial few games. He also made fans go crazy with a few scintillating sixes, especially, against Chahal in the game at M Chinnaswamy stadium. However, it wasn’t enough for him to stay in the playing XI.

After a couple of bad performances, he was removed from the playing XI to ask the young Ishan Kishan to get the nod. Though Ishan failed to make things fall in place, he got the backing, which he used to perfection.

Well, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for Yuvraj Singh and Mumbai Indians in the upcoming few games. Currently, they are placed second in the points table with 6 wins in their 10 games.
