IPL 2019: I Don’t See Myself Playing for Any Other Franchise – Yuzvendra Chahal
Royal Challengers Bangalore leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal feels he doesn’t see himself playing for any other franchise. In fact, Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli had also recently said that he doesn’t want to play for any other club. Meanwhile, Chahal said the Bangalore franchise is like a family to him as he is close to all the players.
Subsequently, Chahal stated that he has enjoyed his time while playing with the likes of AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli. The leg-spinner will complete his six years with the Bangalore team as he made his debut in 2013. Thus, the leg-spinner has had his emotions with the franchise.
I have enjoyed my time here.
Yuzvendra Chahal said while talking to Times Now, “This is my sixth year with RCB and I have enjoyed a lot especially on the field and off-field with senior players like Virat Bhaiya (Virat Kohli) and AB sir (AB de Villiers). I am always excited whenever I play for RCB. It is like my family and I don’t see myself playing for any other team.”
Subsequently, Chahal is looking forward to the new season with all the zest. The leg-spinner has been a vital cog for the Virat Kohli-led side and he would like to bring his best to the table. However, Chahal hasn’t been in the best of forms in the recent past.
“Obviously, it is a new season for us and I am very excited about it. We are training in a proper way and I am really excited as some new players are here and the atmosphere is so nice here”.
Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore had added players like Marcus Stoinis and Shimron Hetmyer in the IPL auctions. Stoinis is yet to join the squad as he is with the Australian team for the series against Pakistan.
Hetmyer joined us a couple of days back. Stoinis is yet to join us. The new additions will strengthen us in the middle order of the team in which we struggled during the last season.
Yuzvendra Chahal believes every franchise has a well-settled squad as they had a good auction. In fact, the leg-spinner sees that their team has a good chance of lifting their maiden IPL trophy.
I think all the teams are balanced as the auctions went good for everyone last year and obviously I see my team (RCB) at the top.
Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore will begin IPL campaign against Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk Stadium tomorrow.
