There is certainly no doubt about the fact that Team India speedster Jasprit Bumrah is one of the finest bowlers of the modern generation. In the past, we have seen many opposition players calling Jasprit Bumrah the finest fast bowler of the modern generation. His lethal pace, bounce and accuracy make him a special force to reckon with. Ever since breaking into the national team, Jasprit Bumrah has gone onto become the spearhead of the pace attack in all 3 formats of the game.
Jasprit Bumrah not only instils fear in opposition batters but his sheer consistency rate even makes teammates worried of facing him in the nets. Mumbai Indians batsman Yuvraj Singh who is regarded as one of the most stylish batsmen to have ever graced the game admitted that he asks Bumrah to stay away from when he is batting in the nets.

“I don’t play him in the nets. I tell im not to bowl to me,” Yuvraj Singh said. Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh also backed Jasprit Bumrah to be the standout bowler in the 2019 World Cup which will be played in England and Wales from 30th May. He further stated that Bumrah is one of the top three fast bowlers in world cricket and backed him to be the best bowler in the World Cup.
“Jasprit Bumrah is probably one of the best three bowlers in the world. He wins games with the ball. He is best when he attacks. I am gunning for him to be the best bowler in the World Cup,” Yuvraj Singh added.
Meanwhile, the form of Jasprit Bumrah will definitely keep India in good stead going into the World Cup. However, the 2011 World Champions will be a worried unit with their spin department. Frontline spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been pretty ordinary in the ongoing Vivo IPL 12 so far and has bagged only 4 wickets in 9 matches. However, despite his indifferent run for Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing tournament, Yuvraj Singh backed Kuldeep Yadav to spun a web around the opposition batters during the showpiece event.
The form of Kuldeep Yadav will be a concern as he was the best bowler for India during the limited-overs series in England when India toured the country last year. The left-arm chinaman bowler bagged 5 wickets haul twice in 6 matches. However, Yuvraj Singh stated that Kuldeep Yadav’s form in the IPL won’t affect his performance in the World Cup.

“I don’t compare T20 with one day cricket. Kuldeep has been a fantastic bowler for India and I am sure he will bounce back. There are nine league games to be played at the World Cup and there would have been a worry if he was hit in a fifty overs competition. Our strength for a while has been to play with two spinners. And he has been extremely effective in England, South Africa, and Australia,” he said.
