The English batsman Jonny Bairstow had done brilliantly for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore. It was a terrific knock for the English wicketkeeper-batsman, who called that the century against RCB was a huge highlight in his career.
It was indeed a stunning century from the SRH batsman. He outsmarted David Warner in the middle to give a massive tally on the board for the team facing RCB. Meanwhile, in an interview with Times of India, he reveals how important was that knock for him.
”It’s a huge highlight in my career. I was waiting to play in the IPL and got the chance to represent Sunrisers Hyderabad. It is a big thing for me,” Jonny Bairstow said.

IPL is an amazing place to learn:
Speaking of the tournament, the flamboyant batsman quoted that the Indian Premier League is one of the best platforms to enhance the skills. Further, he believes that the team will travel a long distance in the tournament.

“We have just played three games (so far). There is a long way to go in the tournament. It is an amazing place to learn. It has been an amazing experience to play in front of fanatical fans. The atmosphere in the dressing room is brilliant,” he added.
On Partnership with David Warner:
You can see only a few batsmen outsmarting David Warner at the crease, especially, in a T20I game. Jonny Bairstow was one of those batsmen, who quoted that it was a pleasure to have a partnership with him.

“We ran well between the wickets. It was a good pitch and we played strong cricket shots. We were appreciating each other during the knock. We are playing for the same team and our aim is to win the IPL title. That is the common goal. We were appreciating each other,” he further remarked.
Well, as Jonny Bairstow said, it was a special moment for any cricketer to get a century in the first three games of a new career. Currently, Bairstow and Warner are the main pillars of the team in the batting department.
