England batsman Joe Denly has thanked the Kolkata Knight Riders for allowing him to be part of the cash-rich league after leaving for England to take part in the England Domestic One Day Cup. He will be playing for Kent, a franchise he has been associated with for a long. Joe Denly shared a picture inside the aeroplane travelling to England and thanked KKR for having him in the franchise.

Taking to his Instagram handle Joe Denly wrote, “Hometime!! Thank you to @kkriders for having me over the last month, amazing experience!! Time to get ready for a very exciting summer, starting Tuesday with @kentcricket.

Joe Denly played just a solitary match for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing Vivo IPL 12 so far and was dismissed of the very first delivery he faced. He was given his first break by Kolkata Knight Riders during their home game against the Delhi Capitals and he was castled in the very first delivery of Ishant Sharma. He went for an expansive drive but missed it altogether as ball went through to breach his defence and disturbed the timbers. He could make his debut only because regular openers Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine were out with a flu.

Meanwhile coming back to Kolkata Knight Riders, they have been pretty ordinary in their previous few matches and has lost 4 matches on a trot. The over-reliance on Andre Russell has put them in serious jeopardy which has resulted in them losing 4 matches on a trot.  Russell has batted brilliantly in all the matches except one but he hasn’t got the desired support from the other end.

The bowling department of KKR has been pretty ordinary. The form of Kuldeep Yadav will be a huge concern as he ended up conceding 27 runs in a solitary over. His confidence was shattered and Dinesh Karthik should definitely look to give him confidence because he will be one of the most important players for India in the 2019 World Cup.
