Upbeat top-order batsman KL Rahul, who started off slow, saw his team Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) home alongside David Miller by eight wickets against Mumbai Indians (MI). In their third game of the IPL 2019, the hosts chased down the target off 177 in 18.4 overs in Mohali.
Rahul brought up his 11th IPL half-century by playing an anchor role at the top. He remained unbeaten on 71 (57) balls, as Miller managed to score 15 of ten balls.
The duo put up a match-winning partnership of 60 which came off 31 deliveries.
Krunal Pandya was the pick of the bowlers for Mumbai. He conceded 43 runs to claim two wickets in his four overs.
Turning Point of the Match:
The partnership between KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal has upped the ante for hosts after losing their second game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
The quickfire 67-run partnership has benefitted spirited KXIP.

Rahul, who has found his form following a bleak start in the IPL 2019, has made a solid comeback with his effortless knock at the PCA Stadium in Mohali.
IPL 2019: KXIP, 2nd Innings –
While coming to bat on a relatively bigger ground, KXIP opener Chris Gayle blasted 24-ball 40. His innings was laced with four massive sixes apart from three fours.
The southpaw alongside KL Rahul has posted 53 for the first wicket. Gayle was caught at the boundary line by Hardik Pandya. who received a bit of pounding.
Moreover, his elder brother Krunal Pandya has managed to drop the first blood.
Meanwhile, Mayank Agarwal straightaway played an aggressive cricket to help his team to take past the team total to 100 in 12th over.
Agarwal alongside Raul stitched crucial 37-ball 64-run partnership for the second wicket.
The right-handed Agarwal was caught and bowled by Krunal at KXIP’s score of 117. He blasted 21-ball 43. His innings included four fours and two maximums.

IPL 2019: MI Indians, 1st Innings –
On being asked to bat first, Indians had a quality stary with skipper Rohit Sharma alongside wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock.
The duo gave a quickfire start while posting 51 in 5.2 overs.
Rohit was the first to return to the pavilion after scoring 18-ball 32. Also, he has slammed five fours which further saw his strike-rate of 177.77.
Suryakumar Yadav couldn’t do much as he faced six balls for his 11. Also, he found a fence on a couple of occasions.
On the other side, de Kock continue his show by slamming 60 off just 39 deliveries. De Kock’s innings included six fours and two sixes.
In between, Yuvraj Singh has relied on a cautious start, but he faltered while aiming to accelerate his innings. The southpaw his consumed 22 balls for his 18 which included two boundaries.
Yuvraj alongside de Kock has stitched 58-run partnership for the third wicket which subsequently took visitors total to 120.
Windies all-rounder Kieron Pollard failed to leave an impact as he managed to score nine-ball seven runs. However, Hardik Pandya has provided impetus with his late blitz by scoring 19-ball 31.
Furthermore, Krunal Pandya has faced five balls for his 10 runs.
Mayank Markande and Mitchell McClenaghan, has remained not out. McClenaghan could open his account on facing two deliveries.
With this, visitors had posted 176 for seven in 20 allotted overs.
For KXIP, leg-spinner Murugan Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers. The promising bowler bowled with accuracy to frustrate Indians batters. He conceded 25 runs in his quota of two overs to snare two scalps.
On the other side, Mohammad Shami and Hardus Viljoen bagged two wickets each. Ashwin has gone wicket while bowling his full quota of overs. Besides, Andrew Tye gave away 40 runs to dismiss Pollard.
