Both Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad will be eyeing returning to the winning track when they lock horns against each other. Both the teams have so far won three of their opening five games and enter the game on the back of defeat in their previous games. While Kings XI Punjab fell short by 22 runs while chasing 160 against Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad were all out for just 96 in pursuit of 137 against Mumbai Indians.
Pitch report:
“It is a beautiful evening for cricket. An even covering of grass. The average score in the last five IPL games is 180. It looks good for batting. Little mosaic looking. It is a little bit challenging to hit sixes on this ground because of the dimensions,” says Darren Ganga.
Toss:
Kings XI Punjab won the toss and decided to field first against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in the 22nd match of this year’s Indian Premier League.
Here is what the captains said:
Ravichandran Ashwin:
“We will be bowling first. We have a couple of changes – AJ and Ashwin miss out. Mujeeb and Rajpoot come in.”
Bhuvneshwar Kumar:
“We would have bowled first as well. This is a ground where dew is a big factor. Same team. It is one of the area we would like to improve. It is going good and I am enjoying it.”
