Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bowl first against Delhi Capitals in the third match of this year’s Indian Premier League at the Wankhede Stadium.

Preview:

The third game of the season is between one of the traditional powerhouses of the league and a team which is trying all it can to join the elites. Mumbai Indians, the first and one of the only two teams to win the IPL thrice, will be clear favourites when they take on Delhi Capitals.  With the likes of Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, Kieron Pollard, Jasprit Bumrah and Pandya brothers in the team, Mumbai are very strong on paper.

However, complacency against the new-look Delhi side could hurt Mumbai. Delhi Capitals boast of a young local talent combined with seasoned campaigners this season. Experienced batsmen Shikhar Dhawan, Colin Ingram and Colin Munro will look to mentor youngsters like Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw. In bowling, Ishant Sharma is likely to lead the attack along with vateren spinner Amit Mishra, all-rounder Chris Morris, Kagiso Rabada and Trent Boult.
