Delhi skipper Shreyas Iyer admitted that the Kolkata win would give them a lot of confidence and they will look to bank on in the next matches. Rightly so, they have outplayed the Kolkata franchise and will hope to continue the same level of cricket.
Placed fourth in the points table, Delhi Capitals will look to bag two crucial points and take on step closer to the playoffs.
Date and Venue: April 14 (Sunday) at 8:00 PM IST, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium
Here is the predicted playing XI of Delhi Capitals for the match 30 of this Indian Premier League (IPL) against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium:
SHIKHAR DHAWAN
Shikhar Dhawan has finally hit the strides in the last game which will be a massive benefit for the Delhi Capitals. The southpaw will be keen to keep up the good work and be in right touch ahead of the ICC World Cup.
PRITHVI SHAW
Prithvi Shaw has not been among the runs in this edition of the IPL. He has got starts but has failed to capitalise on that. The young batsman will look to hit the strides and contribute to his team in the upcoming games.
SHREYAS IYER
Shreyas Iyer has been inconsistent with the bat and needs to return to form quickly if Delhi have to progress in the tournament. Besides, he has led the side well and will look to build on the confidence and bring out the best out of his team.
RISHABH PANT
Rishabh Pant put on a matured effort in the last game sharing a match-winning combination with Shikhar Dhawan. The young cricketer will look to bank on this knock and develop his game in the matches to follow.
COLIN INGRAM
Colin Ingram has made small contributions batting in the lower-order. He has cleared the infield with ease and will look to belt some more in the games to follow.
CHRIS MORRIS
The South African all-rounder is yet to make any significant contribution for the Delhi Capitals. Chris Morris will be desperate to live upto the expectations and help his side continue the winning streak.
AXAR PATEL
Axar Patel has done a decent job with the ball containing runs in the middle overs. The All-rounder needs to chip in with the bat as well. Besides, he is also a good fielder which adds value to the team.
RAHUL TEWATIA
Rahul Tewatia has not been impressive this season with the ball. But the Delhi Capitals franchise will want the leg-spinner and come good and keep the winning run going against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
KAGISO RABADA
Kagiso Rabada has been scintillating so far for the Delhi Capitals in this IPL. He has hit the yorker length at ease during the death overs making him invincible for the Rajasthan Royals.
SANDEEP LAMICHHANE
Sandeep Lamichhane has been in and out from the playing XI. However, he has impressed for Delhi Capitals in the limited opportunities he has got. The Nepal cricketer will have the task to contain the top-class Sunrisers Hyderabad batting.
ISHANT SHARMA
Ishant Sharma stood upto the expectations and bowled a terrific spell against Kolkata Knight Riders. The tall and lanky pacer will look to continue the new found form as the tournament reaches its business end.
