The Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Delhi Capitals (DC) have made their way up to the top four of the IPL 2019 points table. Both the teams had won five matches each and are separated just by the net run-rate. The in-form Capitals had recently played their last game on Sunday (April 14) against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). We’ve compiled the list of five players to watch out for in the impending contest at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi.

Delhi, though, had been unlucky at their fortress. They have played three matches, losing the game against Chennai Superkings(CSK) before tying a game with Kolkata Knight Riders. However, they eventually won in the Super Over and lost the one against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as well.

Moreover, Indians have seemed to pull-off really well in the past few matches. Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya had strengthened their middle and lower order of batting respectively.

Besides, skipper Rohit and Quinton De Kock had given a decent start to the blue brigade.

Both the teams seem to be in good form and have some world class players in to back them up.

Here’s the list of five players to watch out for in the upcoming match:

Top Five Players to Look Out –

Kagiso Rabada:

Bowling squad of DC is quite good. They got bowlers like Keemo Paul managing to restrict their opponents at the lowest possible score. Speedster Kagiso Rabada had been one of their best bowlers in the season. He is the highest wicket-taker record in this season, so far. In 8 matches, the Proteas pacer had been able to snare 17 wickets.

In the last three matches, Rabada was witnessed grabbing two four-wicket hauls. He unhinged SRH the moment he trapped David Warner and changed the game in 17 balls.

Hardik Pandya:

Hardik has made it impossible for anyone to match the changes he had brought in his game over the few months. He already was outspoken with his bowling and now has emerged as a good lower-order batsman as well. He has shaped himself up as the all-rounder a team would need in the foreseeable future.

Pandya is the vital player for MI in the IPL. MI had been the only team to be able to pull CSK down in its early matches. Pandya’s quickfire 25 off 8 balls and three-wicket burst had helped MI to knock CSK off in that match.

In the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB), Pandya had remained unbeaten with his 37 off 16 balls.

Rohit Sharma:

Rohit is one of the best players in the shortest format of cricket. He is flamboyant as an opener and has been consistent for a while now. In six years as captain, Rohit has led MI to three IPL titles sharing the most successful captaincy title stint with CSK skipper MS Dhoni. Even, now MI is at the third position only a step behind DC.

In seven matches, Rohit has scored 193 runs this season. His highest for this season was 48 for 33 balls. His best is yet to come.

Shikhar Dhawan:

Of late, the Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has not been in-form in this IPL season. But his recent 97* against KKR had hushed everyone’s opinion against his performance. Also, against Indians, he had ended up with 43 off 36 balls.

Dhawan is also selected in the national squad for the ICC World Cup 2019.

Chris Morris:

Capitals seem to have excellent bowling line-up with them. The South-African seam bowler is known for getting a steep bounce in the death overs. Even though, Morris is all-rounder, he has only proven his worth with the ball for DC.

In the last match against SRH on 14th April, Chris has snared three wickets conceding only 22 runs in the match.

Morris had bagged 11 wickets in 6 matches of this season and is on 5th position in the purple cap list of IPL 2019.
