Delhi Capitals is all set to get their campaign back on track when they meet the Kings XI Punjab later today in the 37th match of Vivo IPL 12. After three consecutive victories, the Delhi Capitals were thrashed by the Mumbai Indians in their previous encounter. The team selection can be questioned to a certain extent but DC needs to start performing as a unit. They have a very good team but the lack of experience might again haunt them as the tournament reaches the business. Kings XI Punjab, on the other hand, has played some good cricket but have lost 4 out of the 9 matches they have played so far.

With the 37th match to commence in a few hours time let us have a look at the Predicted Playing of Delhi Capitals

Shikhar Dhawan

The southpaw has regained his lost touch after the unbeaten 96 against the Kolkata Knight Riders. The southpaw didn’t begin well in the tournament. However, his performances in the last few matches will surely keep DC in a good space. The southpaw will again look to get Delhi Capitals off to a great start.

Prithvi Shaw

The youngster has been like a firecracker for the Delhi Capitals. Apart from the knock of 99 against KKR, he has been pretty inconsistent in the tournament so far. He is definitely one of the finest talents in the Indian domestic circuit at the moment. However, he needs to be more consistent and start contributing more to the team.

Colin Munro

The Kiwi opener has been asked to bat at No 3 in order to accommodate the likes of Shaw and Dhawan. The southpaw has looked good in his No 3 position and struck a quickfire 40 in the previous game. He is a fantastic striker of the ball and can change of the complexion of the match in a single over. The left-hander has already smashed 3 T20I centuries in his career so far.

Shreyas Iyer

The skipper has looked good in patches but has failed to press on the accelerator for a big knock. He is a capable player and has the ability to smash the ball out of the park on a consistent basis. He has led his troops well but in a situation of diversity, Iyer has found himself wanting. He will definitely look to get big innings under his belt.

The southpaw was recently omitted from the Indian squad for the 2019 World Cup. The southpaw is a special player without a doubt but he needs to be more consistent in order to cement his place in ay side. Rishabh Pant is one of the best Indian hitters of the modern generation and can be the X factor for any team he can be part of.

Chris Morris

The South African all-rounder has been one of the most important members of the Delhi Capitals squad. His all-round qualities provide DC with the ideal balance which they have always looked for. Morris has bowled well in patches but will look to be more consistent for his franchise. Furthermore, he is also a lusty striker of the ball who can hit the ball a long way.

Axar Patel

The left-arm spinner has done a good job for DC in the limited opportunities he has got for the franchise. He is a good all-round player but has failed to make an impact for DC in the tournament so far. On a slow track, Axar will definitely look to make a mark. He is also a useful batsman lower down the order.

Amit Mishra

Mishra became the first Indian bowler to bag 150+ IPL wickets during the match against the Mumbai Indians. He castled Rohit Sharma with a peach of a delivery and finished with figures of 1/21 in his 3 overs. On a slow track in New Delhi, Iyer must look to use him as a frontline spinner and make him bowl 4 overs.

Kagiso Rabada

The South African speedster has been the talk of the tournament so far and is currently the purple cap holder of the tournament. The fast bowler has been the most consistent weapon for DC and has performed for them whenever needed. Rabada will continue to be the spearhead of DC and yet again his presence might make the major difference for DC even on a slow track.

Ishant Sharma

The Indian speedster has improved by leaps and bounds in the recent past and has done a terrific job for Delhi Capitals in the opportunities he has got as a fast bowler. Ishant has bowled quite brilliantly in the powerplay overs and has been a difference for DC. In all likelihood, Ishant will be part of the Playing XI later today.

Sandeep Lamichhane

The Nepalese leg spinner missed out a few matches but I will definitely bring him back for a track like the Feroz Shah Kotla. DC has missed a trick in the last few matches by not playing him. However, I definitely feel he should be part of the playing XI later today.
