IPL 2019, Match 45: Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad- Match Prediction

Rajasthan Royals will look to keep their slim chances in Vivo IPL 12 alive when they meet the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 45th match of Vivo IPL 12. After winning their previous game against the Kolkata Knight Riders, the situation of three teams is on the line.

Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders are the three teams who are on the verge of elimination and cannot afford to lose any more matches.

The campaign of Sunrisers Hyderabad has also been a topsy turvy one. They have won 5 out of the 10 matches they have played so far and that has been largely possible due to their sensational opening pair of Jonny Bairstow and David Warner.

While Warner is the leading run scorer in the tournament, Bairstow is 2nd on the list. However, SRH will be missing the services of Bairstow from this clash as he has already flown to England to prepare for the 2019 World Cup. The middle order has been a worry for Hyderabad but they will be confident with the fact that Manish Pandey has returned to form in a crucial time of the tournament.

The bowling department has been led well by Bhuvneshwar Kumar who has bowled without much success. The spin bowling department has been led brilliantly by Rashid Khan who is the No 1 T20I bowler in the world. The form of Khaleel Ahmed will also benefit SRH as the left-arm seamer has bagged some crucial wickets in the tournament so far.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals will look to register another victory and keep their slim hopes alive. Their main area of concern will be the absence of their main player Jofra Archer who has led the RR bowling attack with disdain. Even in the previous match his heroics with the bat helped RR win the match in the final over against the KKR.

The form of Ajinkya Rahane will be highly beneficial for Rajasthan as he has looked a completely different player after getting sacked as the skipper. He has executed some shots to perfection which has put RR in good stead. Meanwhile, Steve Smith has also led his troops well and has ensured RR managed to keep their hopes alive.

The spin department has been led by Shreyas Gopal who has been a revelation for them through the course of the tournament. He has bowled in the right areas and has bagged some crucial wickets for Rajasthan Royals. Meanwhile, the emergence of 17-year-old boy Riyan Parag has been quite sensational. He will surely look to impress everyone in the last half of the tournament.

Date and Venue:

The match will be played at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur from 8 pm.

Weather Conditions:

It is expected to be another hot day in Jaipur. However, with the match slated to be an 8 pm affair, the players will be a bit relaxed. The temperature is expected to be in the higher 30’s. Dew could be a factor which would definitely make the team winning the toss bowling first. No rain is expected for the day’s play which should guarantee a full 40 overs clash.

Pitch Conditions

The surface at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur is definitely a sporting wicket which offers something for both bowlers and the batters. All in all the team batting first should at least look to post a score of 170. Dew should also play a part and should affect the team batting first.

Match Prediction

Sunrisers Hyderabad has a slightly better record than RR in the ongoing tournament. However, RR needs to win all their remaining matches to harbour any hopes of going through to the playoffs. I have a gut feeling that Rajasthan Royals will keep their hopes alive in the tournament. Hence RR should win today’s clash.
