Chennai Super Kings will always be close to the heart of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, as he was owned by the crowd of Chennai. In return, MS Dhoni always gave his 100% for the team by helping them to cheer even more with his astounding captaincy and batting. Meanwhile, the batting coach Micheal Hussey speaks on giving a rest for MS Dhoni in the rest of the games.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni recently injured his back but quickly returned back to the game. In absence of him, CSK lost the game in a poor way, which also showed the importance of his presence for CSK. Meanwhile, with CSK already being qualified for Playoffs, will they ask MSD to have a rest, especially, with world cup around?
MS Dhoni loves playing for CSK – Michael Hussey
Speaking of that in the press conference, Michael Hussey quoted that MS Dhoni loves the crowd of Chennai and most probably, he would like to play for the fans despite finding themselves a place in the playoff.
Further, he went on to add saying that no one never knows what Mahendra Singh Dhoni thinks. Hussey thinks that the skipper would lead the team in remaining matches as well.
“Well, you would have to ask Dhoni that question. I think what I know about him is that he doesn’t want to miss any matches. He loves playing for CSK, this place is very close to his heart and he wants to play and do well and wants to see the team have success.,” Hussey said.
“So trying to get him to have rest is very difficult,” Hussey told reporters here ahead of Friday’s IPL match against Mumbai Indians. I don’t know what he (Dhoni) wants to do in that respect, but we will have to wait and see. I think he is keen to play all the games.”
Proud of MS Dhoni and Fleming for showing faith on Shane Watson:
Further, he went on to laud the skipper and the head coach Stephen Fleming for showing their trust on Shane Watson, who had a poor run with the bat in the season. Now, Hussey believes that the team got contributors from every department.
”I was really proud of the way MS (Dhoni) and (Stephen) Fleming showed faith in him (Watson), kept believing in the way he can play and he can win matches for CSK. They stuck with him and that was well rewarded. I think probably before that, we had probably been relying a lot more on MS. We would like to have a team where contributions can come from everywhere in the order.”
Well, as Michael Hussey said, it is tough to predict whether MS Dhoni will take the rest or not. Perhaps, he might play the home games, as the fans would love to see him in the action. It would be good for him and the team if he gets a rest, as he is set to play his final ICC World Cup in 50 overs format of his career.
